The NFL Players Association Game - Texas Vs The Nation, a collegiate Division 1 All-Star Football game, is a first of its kind. It matches top collegiate players with ties to the state of Texas against top collegiate players from around the nation. Former Dallas Cowboy – Bill Bates will coach the Texas Team and Coach Jerry Glanville will coach the Nation Team. The Game will be nationally televised on CBS College Sports. During the week of The Game, hundreds of NFL scouts, coaches, past NFL players, game staff and players will be in San Antonio TX.to participate in the festivities and events. Estimated game day attendance - 40,000.

February 27,  Bridal Expo 2011 - Sunday Camino Real Hotel
The 14th Annual Love Affair & Bridal Expo will focus on all the elements needed to plan for one of the most important days of a woman’s life, her wedding. The Bridal Expo targets young women between the ages of 18-34 therefore it lends itself as a venue in which women learn more about choices they will have to make through out their lives. Attendance is typically 4000 plus women. The Bridal Expo will take place at the elegant Camino Real 4 star Hotel in historic downtown El Paso.

March 26 & 27, 2011 - Saturday - The Sunland Derby
Saturday, March 26th –Sunland Gala – with special guest TBA – in 2010 it was Jerry Rice! Sunday, March 27th –The Sunland Park Derby is a Grade 2 Kentucky Derby Race. Home of 2009 Kentucky Derby Winner Mine that Bird- The Sunland Derby has become one of the premier races in the US. it’s a full day of world class racing and fun for the entire family! The day features vendors, party tents, live horse racing, and pure excitement in the Southwest Sunshine.

April 13, 2011 - Sunday - The Sports & Health Expo 
The Sports & Health Expo focuses on Sports, Health & Fitness. Specifically designed as an interactive venue for parents and their kids. In past the Sports Expo has featured celebrity guests such as include Pete Rose, “The Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor” – Mel Renfro, Don Perkins, Lee Roy Jordan, Earl Campbell, Charles Haley. The Expo will take place at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino. Estimated attendance is 5,000. Expo starts at 11:00 am and ends at 5:00pm.

May 28, 29 & 30, 2011 - Wet-N-Wild Water Park
The 26th Annual Balloon Festival is scheduled to take flight on Memorial Weekend, 2011 – Sat. Sun. & Mon. at Wet N Wild Water Park. Over 75 balloons will fill the skies as crowds of 40,000 plus attend the premier family event of the summer. Activities include: balloon rides, water rides, vendor shopping, & live concerts every night. This family event brings in an estimated economic impact of over 1 million dollars.

June 19, 2011 - Sunday - BIG DADDY Car Show
A Fathers Day tradition held annually at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino. Over 100 Classic and Hot Rod Cars on display as well as vendor booths, food booths, and accessory booths. Families can celebrate the day enjoying the displays of vehicles and outdoor activities as well as live music throughout the day, plenty of vendors and great giveaways inside the Casino. Casino and indoor restaurants also open to the public to add to the entertainment. Estimated 15,000 people attend.

July 1 & 2, 2011 - The Downtown Street Festival
The Downtown Street Festival will bring El Paso’s downtown streets to life with 2 days of celebrating in the newly renovated downtown area. The Street Festival includes 4 outdoor stages filled with non-stop music, over 100 vendor booths sampling the tastes, novelties & crafts of our diverse border cultures, a children’s carnival area filled with amusement rides and activities for the whole family. Each night features a concert with a national touring act and ends with a fireworks finale! This event had an overwhelming attendance of 20,000 to 30,000+ and continues to grow.

August 20 & 21, 2011 - Back to School Expo
During “TAX” Free weekend, the Back to School Expo allows businesses that cater to students of all ages the opportunity to display at the largest mall in El Paso, Cielo Vista Mall. Booth vendors and businesses can capitalize on one of the busiest shopping days of the year by participating in the Back to School Expo TAX FREE weekend in August 2011. Estimated attendance is a minimum of 80,000 people throughout the tax-free weekend.

Sunday, Labor Day Weekend 2011 - A Taste of El Paso
The 26th Annual “A Taste of El Paso” will be held at Western Playland in Sunland Park, NM. A day of family fun filled with a feast featuring El Paso’s best food from El Paso’s best restaurants. A wide-range of flavors will be mustered up from the best Chefs in town! It’s all about food, family and fun! This event brings in a minimum of 15,000 people, predominantly between the ages of 18-44.

October 1 - 31, 2011 - KLAQ Haunted Warehouse
For the entire month of October, KLAQ will host the Haunted Warehouse. Over 18,000 attendees will dare walk the halls of horror and dare to reach the end of 25,000 sq. feet of sheer fright. Families come in droves to experience a night of haunting madness. Men, Women and Children of all ages come through the doors of the damned. This is a media favorite with TV station's anchors broadcasting live from location. Scary, fun and full of surprises! Great place to introduce a new product to families.

Holiday On Ice 2011 & 2012 Season - Multiple Dates
Holidays on Ice 2011- November – January: 48 Days of Holidays on Ice – Public Skating at the El Paso County Coliseum Ice Rink – Opportunity to get in front of an active crowd during the Holiday Season – Themed days and nights available. Starting in late November through the New Year – thousands of families will come to the closest thing to a winter wonderland in the Sunny Southwest.
