January 31, 2009 - 1:00 PM - Sun Bowl Stadium
Texas vs. The Nation, a collegiate Division I All-Star football game is a first of its kind. It matches top collegiate players with ties to the state of Texas against top collegiate players from around the nation. Former Texas A&M and Alabama Head Coach, Gene Stallings, will coach the ‘Texas Team’ and New Mexico State Coach Mumme will coach the ‘Nation Team’. The game will be nationally televised on CSTV. During the week of the bowl, many NFL scouts, coaches, past NFL players, game staff and players will come to El Paso to be involved in the game. Estimated 40,000 will attend.

February 7, 2009 - Saturday – El Paso County Coliseum
Looking for a great rush of adrenaline! The CBR Tuff Hedeman West Texas Shoot Out is the event that will give you a dose of pure energy as 40 of the Best Bull Riders compete against the clock! Men, Women and Children of all ages come and cheer their favorites on as they try to tame the 3000 pound beasts for at least 8 Seconds! Filmed by the OUTDOOR channel and broadcast at a later date. Hosted by legend and world class Bullriding Champion, Tuff Hedeman. It’s a Fan favorite! 

February 22, 2009 - Sunday - Camino Real Hotel
The 12th Annual Love Affair & Bridal Expo will focus on all the elements needed to plan for one of the most important days of a Woman’s life, her wedding. The Bridal Expo targets young women between the ages of 18-34 therefore it lends itself as a venue in which Women learn more about choices they will have to make through out their lives. Attendance is typically 4000 plus women. The Bridal Expo will take place at the elegant Camino Real four star Hotel in historic downtown El Paso.

April 5, 2009 - Sunday - The Sports & Health Expo 
The Sports & Health Expo focuses on Sports, Health & Fitness. Specifically designed as an interactive venue for Parents and their kids. In past the Sports Expos, featured guests include Pete Rose, “The Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor” – Mel Renfro, Don Perkins, Lee Roy Jordan, Earl Campbell . The Expo will take place at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino. Estimated attendance is 5,000. Expo starts at 11:00 am and ends at 5:00pm. 

March 29, 2009 - Sunday - The Sunland Derby
Festivities begin Saturday, March 28th – Sunland Gala – with special guest Former Celtic Bill Russell 
Sunday, March 29th – Racing begins at 12:30pm (time subject to change).
Watch and wager on the races up-close in our Party Tent! The Signature Showroom will be open for seating with four big screens, a cash bar and plenty of wagering windows. Soak up the Southwest sunshine!
The party starts at 11:00AM - The first race is at 12:30PM.
up to 20 Thoroughbred races. Featuring: The $600,000 Derby and the $250,000 Sunland Park Oaks The $100,000 Harry Henson Handicap The $100,000 New Mexico Breeder's Derby.

May 23, 24 & 25, 2009 - Wet-N-Wild Water Park
The 24th Annual Balloon Festival is scheduled to take flight on Memorial Weekend, 2009 – Sat. Sun. & Mon. at Wet N Wild Water Park. Over 75 balloons will fill the skies over Memorial Weekend as crowds of 40,000 plus attend the premier Family event of the summer, Balloon Fest 2009. Families can enjoy a full day of activities: Balloon Rides, Water rides, Vendor shopping, & Live Concerts every night. This family event brings in an estimated economic impact of over 1 million dollars.

June 21, 2009 - Sunday - BIG DADDY Car Show
A Fathers Day day event held at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino, June 21st. Over 80 Classic and Hot Rod Cars on display as well as vendor booths, food booths, and accessory booths. The day is filled with live music on the outdoor stage. Families can celebrate the day enjoying the display of vehicles and outdoor activities. Casino and indoor restaurants also open to the public to add to the days entertainment. Estimated 15,000 people attend.

July 3 & 4, 2009 - The Downtown Street Festival
The Downtown Street Festival will bring El Paso’s downtown streets to life again with a 2 days of festival celebrating the newly renovated downtown area. The Street Festival includes 4 outdoor stages filled with non-stop music, over 100 vendor booths sampling the tastes, novelties & crafts of our diverse border cultures, a children’s carnival area filled with amusement rides and activities for the whole family. A fireworks finale will end the celebration with a Bang! This event had an overwhelming attendance of 40,000+ in 2008 and we expect at least that in 2009. 

August 22 & 23, 2009 - Back to School Expo
During “TAX FREE" weekend, the Back to School Expo allows businesses that cater to students of all ages the opportunity to display at the largest Mall in El Paso, Cielo Vista Mall. Booth Vendors and Businesses can capitalize on one of the busiest shopping days of the year by participating in the Back to School Expo TAX FREE weekend in August 2009. Estimated attendance is a minimum of 80,000 people throughout the tax-free weekend. 

Sunday, Labor day Weekend 2009 - A Taste of El Paso
(Sun or Mon)- The 24th Annual “A Taste of El Paso” will be held at Western Playland in Sunland Park, NM. One Day of family fun filled with a feast featuring El Paso’s best Food from El Paso’s Best Restaurants. A wide-range of flavors will be mustered up from the best Chefs in town! It’s all about food, family and fun! This event brings in a minimum of 15,000 people, predominantly between the ages of 18-44. 

October 1 - 31, 2009 - KLAQ Haunted Warehouse
For the entire month of October, KLAQ will host the Haunted Warehouse. Over 18,000 attendees will dare walk the halls of horror and dare to reach the end of 25,000 sq. feet of sheer terror. Families come in droves to experience a night of haunting madness. Men, Women and Children of all ages come through the doors of the damned. This is a media favorite with TV station's anchors broadcasting live from location. Scary, fun and full of surprises! Great place to introduce a new product to Families.

Christmas House 2009 - December 4 -23
Take an interactive journey through CHRISTMAS HOUSE as you fill your senses with the sights, sounds and smells of the holidays.
